The "C U LaTouR" touring line-up features Ministry's founder Al Jourgensen joined onstage by guitarists Tommy Victor (Prong) and Sin Quirin (Revolting Cocks), keyboardist John Bechdel (AoTW, False Icons, ex-Prong), and drummer Jimmy DeGrasso (ex-Megadeth, ex-Suicidal Tendencies, ex-Alice Cooper). Static X's Tony Campos has recently stepped in to fulfill bass duties on behalf of the recently departed Ministry/Killing Joke bassist Paul Raven. Archival Ministry videos plus other visual elements of alchemy, Christianity, politics and other topics aligned with Ministry will be incorporated into a special video presentation, produced by Ministry music video and Wicked Lake feature film director Zach Passero that will change night to night.
As is expected from a Ministry show, you just never know what surprise guests will jump on stage for a song or two. "A Ministry tour is a traveling circus," states Jourgensen. "When we roll into town, everyone hides their daughters, but the freaks roll out the red carpet and a friend or two pops up on stage to add some spice and mayhem to the show. We never know who's gonna walk through the dressing room door at sound check. We rehearse a bunch of 'extra' songs just in case so-and-so shows up..."
Confirmed dates for Ministry's 2008 "C U LaTouR" can be found at the C U LaTouR Page. Additional dates and cities are yet to be announced. The C U LaTouR Page will be updated with more official tour information as things are confirmed so check it often.
Paul Raven - Rest In Peace 1961 - 2007
Saturday, October 20, 2007 -
The 13th Planet family is saddened to confirm the devastating news of the sudden
and unexpected death of Ministry's bassist, Paul Raven. Raven was working with
French recording artists Treponem Pal on their new collaboration with Ted
Parsons (ex-Prong/ex-Killing Joke/Jesu) and members of The Young Gods in a small
village on the French/Swiss border. Initial reports indicate Raven's passing was
the result of a heart attack.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Raven's family and friends around the world.
His love of life, artistic creations and joyful laughter touched and moved all
of us deeply. The loss of this extraordinary artist, unique individual and loyal
friend will be felt by many. The impact of his talents will be remembered
forever but his contribution to the lives of everyone who knew him is his
greatest legacy.
13th Planet has dedicated a page
to the life and art of Paul Vincent Raven

Ministry front man Al Jourgensen has been confirmed to score, music supervise and create the soundtrack for the upcoming horror feature film Wicked Lake, a sordid supernatural tale about four co-ed girls on a weekend getaway tailed by two clans of deranged male predators. Al is also set to perform a small role in the film as a perverted art professor. "Not exactly a stretch for me," states Jourgensen.
Tentatively scheduled for a Spring 2008 release, Wicked Lake is directed by Zach Passero. Passero, directed Ministry's video "Lieslieslies" as well as the animated video "Fire Engine" for The Revolting Cocks. "Zach is one of the most talented, driven young artists I've met in a long time," said Jourgensen. "We both have the same twisted penchant for dark humor, so it's a match made in horror hell." Retorts Passero, "Al seems to be radiating manic creativity these days which is just what the Wicked Lake needs." Co-producer Chris Sivertson remarks, "When Zach and I were at film school together, Ministry was often the soundtrack of our madness. Now having Al on board, we've come full circle." Carl Morano and John Carchietta of production company Fever Dreams commented, "We are delirious and overjoyed with Al's involvement, we fear his manic energy and supernatural musical genius could be a sign of the impending apocalypse or at least the end of cinema as we know it."
Wicked Lake begins shooting soon on locations in New Mexico and in Jourgensen's hometown of El Paso where he will write, produce and record the music for Wicked Lake at his 13th Planet Studios compound. The soundtrack CD will be released on his own 13th Planet Records and will feature tracks from 13th Planet's stable of artists - Ministry, Prong, The Revolting Cocks, Ascension of The Watchers, False Icons and Mob Research.
Ministry has posted the End Of Days Countdown Video #6 on the Ministry Youtube channel. Stay tuned for the End Of Days.

Cover Up, an album of some of Al's personal favorite songs is currently being recorded by Ministry & Co-Conspirators in his El Paso, TX compound, 13th Planet Studios. Cover Up is expected to be released in April 2008.
In addition to guitarist Sin Quirin (Revolting Cocks) and bassist Paul Raven (Killing Joke/Prong/Mob Research), Jourgensen has enlisted an impressive group of contributors for his cover album - Burton C. Bell (Ascension of The Watchers/Fear Factory) on the Rolling Stones' "Under My Thumb", Tony Campos and Wayne Static (both of Static-X) on the The Beatles' "I Want You (She's So Heavy).", and Tommy Victor (Prong) and Leslie West (Mountain) on Mountain's classic "Mississippi Queen". Cover Up will also include Ministry's cover of the Doors' "Roadhouse Blues" (from The Last Sucker), as well as Ram Jam's "Black Betty", Deep Purple's "Space Truckin", Louis Armstrong's "Wonderful World" and "Radar Love" by Golden Earring. The Last Sucker will be Ministry's Final Studio Release. The Last Sucker will be released on September 18 followed by a world tour in 2008, and then, after 11 studio albums and 27 years, including four Grammy nominations ("N.W.O."/1993, "Bad Blood"/2000, "The Great Satan"/2005, "LiesLiesLies,"/2006), Al Jourgensen will lay Ministry to rest and focus on expanding his borderland compound, 13th Planet Records.
"I've got a lot of side-projects and new projects I want to focus on," explained Jourgensen. "We have our our own label, 13th Planet Records, we're building, and I want to sign, produce and collaborate with other artists. Being in the studio writing, recording and collaborating is my favorite part of this snake-oil industry. I'd rather be behind the console than behind the mic. Plus, I kinda like the synchronicity of Dubya and Ministry riding off into the sunset hand in hand."
The new 11-track Ministry CD, The Last Sucker, is the third in an unrelenting and uber-critical trilogy aimed at exposing the foils, failures and fabrications perpetrated by the George W. Bush Administration. The Last Sucker, which follows Houses of the Mole (2004) and Rio Grande Blood (2006), is the final nail in the Dubya coffin.
The Last Sucker was produced and recorded by Al Jourgensen at his 13th Planet compound in El Paso, TX with musicians Thomas Victor (Prong) on guitars, Paul Raven (Killing Joke/Prong) on bass and guitarist Sin Quirin (The Revolting Cocks). Burton C. Bell (Fear Factory, AotW) makes a vocal appearance on "Die In A Crash," as well as the album's final two songs, "End of Days" parts One and Two.
The Last Sucker will be released by 13th Planet Records on Tuesday, September 18th.
